Pupil Premium Statement 2015-2016
Funding for 2015-2016
The level of funding for pupil premium in 15 – 16 is as follows:-
- Pupils in Year Groups 7 to 11 recorded as Ever 6 FSM £935
- Looked After Children (LAC) £1,900 (Please note within Herefordshire LA LAC funding is top sliced by the Virtual School by £300 per pupil)
- Children adopted from care under the Adoption and Children Act 2002 and children who have left care under a Special Guardianship or Residence Order £1,900
- Service children - Pupils in Year Groups R to 11 recorded as Ever 4 Service Child or in receipt of a child pension from the Ministry of Defence £ 300
This academic year we have 19 pupils eligible under free school meals (Ever 6) and 13 looked after pupils.

2015-2106 Pupil Premium Spend
The pupil premium funding has been used in a number of ways including:
- Weekly 1:1 and small group Music Therapy sessions;
- Weekly RDA Lessons (2 groups attending each week);
- The purchase of sensory resources to support individual pupil targets;
- The purchase of iPads as communication aids to improve learning;
- The purchase of an Eye Gaze;
- The purchase of individually appropriate classroom equipment, for example suitably adjusted chairs;
- Supporting the funding of regular school activities and external school activities for example participating in the Shakespeare Festival and Dance Festival, paying towards residential school holidays, paying for transport/ uniform for work experience placements etc.;
- Staff professional development e.g. Sensory processing training, Talk for writing, MAPA (Management of actual and potential aggression) and Language Acquisition and Motor Planning (LAMP) training etc.;
- Weekly 1:1 and small group targeted interventions facilitated by skilled staff;
- Purchase of ICT resources e.g., Clicker 7 and First News;
