Purple Leaf – Early Intervention & Prevention Around Sexual Harm 

 

Purple Leaf is a specialist service run by the West Mercia Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Centre (WMRSASC). It provides support, education, and training around sexual abuse, unhealthy sexual behaviour, and sexual violence, with a focus on children and young people aged 5–18, their families, and professionals. 

 

What Purple Leaf Offers

What This Means 

Assessment & Intervention 

For children and young people who have experienced sexual harm or shown harmful sexual behaviours. Includes specialist assessments (e.g. AIM3, Under-12s) and tailored support programmes. 

Education & Prevention Programmes 

Delivered in schools or one-to-one. Topics include consent, recognising unhealthy relationships, warning signs, and where to get help. 

Professional Training & Consultancy 

For school staff, youth workers, and social care professionals. Covers responding to disclosures, understanding harmful sexual behaviour, and safeguarding practices. 

Support Through Disclosure & Aftercare 

Advocacy, counselling, and emotional support for children and families following a disclosure or incident of sexual harm.
