Barrs Court School Uniform

At Barrs Court School, we want every pupil to feel comfortable, confident, and proud to be part of our school community. Our school uniform helps create a sense of belonging and supports a positive, calm learning environment.

We also understand that some pupils may find certain clothing uncomfortable or distressing. If wearing the full uniform is difficult for your child, please get in touch with us. We’re always happy to discuss alternatives and find a solution that works for them. We simply ask that any adjustments stay as close as possible to the school colours. For community visits or school events, we kindly ask that pupils wear a school jumper or cardigan with the logo whenever possible.

To help keep things consistent for all pupils, clothing with large logos or slogans (other than our school logo) isn’t allowed, and we ask that all uniform items are an appropriate length to ensure comfort and dignity.

Footwear should be plain and suitable for daily school activities. Some pupils may need specialist orthotic shoes, if this applies to your child, just let us know so we can make the right adjustments.

For safety reasons, jewellery should be kept to a minimum. Small stud earrings are fine, but we ask that no other piercings are worn. Religious or cultural items such as small necklaces or bracelets can be worn, please let us know if your child needs to wear these so we can support them appropriately.
